Cell Line Models for Neuroscience Research
Characterized by the functional deterioration of neurons, neurodegenerative diseases present severe implications for individuals and society. Creative Biolabs has developed several culture systems to study the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. For example, the human neuroblastoma cell line SH-SY5Y has been widely used for the research of Parkinson's disease (PD); the Lund human mesencephalic (LUHMES) immortalized cell line can be used for neurotoxicity studies. Our diverse cell models allow better characterization of disease markers and in vivo physiological conditions. In addition, our model also improves the understanding of human neurodegenerative diseases and can better characterize pathological mechanisms.
It is worth noting that 3D cultures, organotypic cultures, as well as organoids can be served as a complement to cell line models to further improve the precision and confidence of research.
