The technology for creating induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines is a useful tool for research on development, regenerative medicine, and illness modeling. Long-term iPSC culture, however, leads to the accumulation of karyotypic abnormalities, which alters gene expression and cellular functions and even raises the possibility of iPSCs becoming tumorigenic. It's critical to keep an eye on the genomic integrity of these iPSC lines, particularly for those meant for therapeutic use, because genomic alterations pose potential risks in iPSC applications. As of right now, Creative Biolabs has created a number of methods for iPSC karyotype analysis. A morphological analysis is called iPSC karyotype analysis. Furthermore, centromere positions, size variations, and banding patterns are also essential for detection aspects.
